Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we receive about our services.

We primarily provide mediation services for workplaces which include interpersonal conflict, group dynamics and contractual disputes in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

The cost is usually dependent on the complexity of the matter and the number of mediation sessions that might be required. We will provide you a free consultation to get a basic understanding of the situation and will provide you with an estimate of costs before we begin.

It often depends on the availability of the mediator you hire; the availability of the participants; the number of participants; and the complexity of the matter. A short process is usually a few weeks. A long process can be multiple months.

The three primary principles of mediation are voluntary, confidential and informal. If one party is not sure about participating, we often ask to have an initial discussion with them to clarify any misconceptions or concerns that can be addressed. If there is a willingness to give it a try we can proceed. However, if someone is adamant they will not participate, then we cannot proceed.
